("Lippo Strategic") has subscribed for 287,695,000 Units under a cornerstone subscription agreement (the "Subscription Agreement") entered into between Lippo Strategic and Lippo-Mapletree Indonesia Retail Trust Management Ltd. under the initial public offering of Lippo-Mapletree Indonesia Retail Trust. Lippo Strategic has on 19 November 2007 lent 96,820,000 Units to UBS AG, acting through its business group, UBS Investment Bank ("UBS"), as stabilising manager, pursuant to an over-allotment option granted to UBS. Any Units which are not purchased pursuant to the exercise of the over-allotment option will be redelivered by UBS to Lippo Strategic. Lippo Strategic is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lippo Holdings Inc. As such, Lippo Holdings Inc. is deemed to have an interest in the 190,875,000 Units held by Lippo Strategic.
